Kathy’s playful approach to design and illustration is influenced by her upbringing in diverse, low-income immigrant neighborhoods around Los Angeles. Her work celebrates the type of popular culture that resonates with and connects those of differing communities. Her mission is to spread positivity and also to encourage those from immigrant families to pursue their creative passions.

Kathy received her BS in Cognitive Science/Human-Computer Interaction at UCSD. Upon graduating, she worked as a UI Designer at Sidebench where she utilized her understanding of people and technology to design products for clients such as RedBull, the American Heart Association, and more.

Most recently, she worked at Buzzfeed as a graphic designer creating fun and compelling designs for a diverse audience. In her spare time, you can find her collaborating on passion projects like The Good Feelin’, being a foodie, and watching Dogs 101 on YouTube.
